DJ David Joy (Argentina)
David Joy is an argentinian singer/songwriter, composer, producer and DJ. He creates songs, movie scores and other compositions at his recording studio.
He received his Master of Arts degree in composition from Konservatorium Wien University (Vienna). His master thesis deals with current music production for tv and movies.
David has attended workshops and masterclasses with Bobby McFerrin (vocal technique and improvisation), Pat Pattison (songwriting), Lalo Schifrin (film music), Krzysztof Penderecki (composition), Bruce Broughton (film music), Simón Blech (conducting), Christian Kolonovits (film music), Falk Hoffmann (music production), Ulrich Kaufmann (video and audio), Kalevi Aho (composition) and Stefan Fricke (electronic music), a.o.
He has shared the stage with artists like The Sweet, fii, Kashmir, and Ausseer Hardbradler performing as lead singer of the pop group InYou.
In 2009, David Joy and Harry Harris formed the electropop band Joy Nation. The project’s sound is based on electronic drum beats, distinctive pop vocals and appealing synth sounds.
